New Costco Gas Station Coming to Orange County
Drivers in Southern California might soon catch a break from rising gas prices, as a new Costco gas station is set to open in Orange County.
This upcoming facility in Mission Viejo will mark the chain’s first standalone gas station, expected to open this summer.
While Costco gas stations are typically found alongside their massive warehouse locations, not every Costco has a gas station.
The new station will span over 17,000 square feet and feature an impressive 40 fuel pumps, which is quite a lot, right?
Costco usually prices its gas around $0.05 to $0.40 lower than nearby competitors, although only Costco members will be able to fill up there.
The station is set to operate daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., which seems pretty convenient for many drivers.
In addition to the California station, Costco is also planning a standalone gas station in Hawaii, scheduled for a 2027 opening.
This news comes as current gas prices are averaging $5.71 per gallon in Los Angeles County and $5.69 in Orange County, according to AAA.
