Vrabel refutes any misconduct following the appearance of photos with an NFL reporter online

Mike Vrabel recognized as Coach of the Year at NFL Honors

Vrabel Addresses Poolside Photo with NFL Reporter

New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel recently commented on a photo of himself lounging by a pool with NFL reporter Deanna Russini, both dressed in swimsuits. The image reportedly captured them holding hands and sharing a hug at a resort in Sedona, Arizona, as noted by the New York Post.

Vrabel described the interactions depicted in the photo as entirely innocent, stating, “Any suggestion otherwise is laughable. I don’t feel I need to say anything more than that.”

Russini also weighed in, clarifying that the photo doesn’t portray a casual gathering of several people, as is often the case with NFL journalists who connect with sources outside traditional settings.

Additionally, Stephen Ginsburg, editor-in-chief at The Athletic, remarked that the images were misleading and lacked necessary context, emphasizing that these were public moments shared with many onlookers. He praised Russini’s capabilities as a top journalist in NFL coverage.

On a related note, Vrabel just concluded a season that saw him lead the Patriots to the Super Bowl, earning him the NFL Coach of the Year honor. This recognition marked the second time he has received the award, previously achieving it while coaching the Tennessee Titans in 2021. With 19 out of 50 first-place votes, he accumulated a total of 302 points.

By winning this award, Vrabel joins the ranks of only a few coaches who have been recognized with Coach of the Year honors across multiple teams, making his mark in NFL history.
