A shocking video captures a man armed with a knife knocking on a stranger’s door, making threats to kill in the name of Allah, and chasing after a frightened daughter.
Homeowners Andy and Tiffany Miller shared this unsettling doorbell footage of an encounter that occurred on Easter Sunday. It led to the arrest of 23-year-old Anthony Long, who now faces charges of aggravated menacing and trespassing.
The video began with an unknown man clad in shorts and a red jacket, kneeling to pray in the Millers’ driveway in Franklin Township, Ohio.
Next, the man, with his hands in his jacket pockets, strolled up to the front door, rang the bell, and knocked several times.
“I woke up thinking my daughter was locked out, and then I saw this guy I didn’t recognize,” Tiffany Miller recounted. “We didn’t answer, and he returned to his car.”
Eventually, Andy Miller stepped outside to check on the stranger, asking, “Hey, are you knocking on the door?”
That’s when the man approached him and declared, “In the name of Allah I will kill you.”
Tiffany Miller detailed on social media that the man “immediately got out of his vehicle and began coming towards me aggressively, shouting religious phrases and making clear threats.”
Upon seeing the knife, Miller ran back, alerting his daughter, who had just parked nearby.
Although the suspect pursued her, she ultimately managed to escape, according to her family.
“It was a terrifying experience and we’re grateful no one was hurt that night,” Tiffany said.
After the alarming incident, Long, a resident of Cincinnati, was arrested shortly afterward for allegedly trying to ram another person’s car near Clear Creek.
A knife, matching the one in the footage, was discovered in his possession, according to authorities.
He is currently in custody at the Warren County Jail, facing a $75,000 bail for the incident involving the Millers and an additional $1,500 cash-limited bail for the Clear Creek incident.
It’s unclear what motivated Long to target the Miller family’s home.
