Disappearance of U.S. Scientists Raises Concerns

Over the past 33 months, ten researchers and scientists in the U.S. have gone missing or died under mysterious circumstances, leading to growing speculation around these incidents.

One notable case is Steven Garcia, a 48-year-old contractor with high-level clearances at nuclear sites. He vanished in August 2025 after walking away from his New Mexico home, leaving behind his phone, wallet, and keys, while armed. Another case involves retired Air Force Maj. Gen. William Neil McCasland, who also disappeared after leaving his Albuquerque residence on foot on February 27.

In recent years, eight other scientists and researchers have similarly been reported either dead or missing. Questions arise about the potential links among these cases. While some investigations are ongoing, U.S. authorities, as reported by Newsweek, have not confirmed any connections between the incidents.

The Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC), where Garcia worked, is responsible for 80 percent of the non-nuclear materials used in U.S. nuclear weapons, according to an anonymous source.

Adam Cochran, a professor and independent journalist, remarked about the situation, stating that the number of missing experts — particularly those involved in sensitive fields like aerospace and nuclear research — is alarming. He expressed concerns that many of these cases are being classified as simple disappearances, arguing it feels too coincidental.

During a recent press conference, FOX News’ Peter Doocy questioned White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt about whether the government intends to investigate these cases. He highlighted that ten scientists, who had access to classified materials, have either disappeared or died since mid-2024, urging for a closer examination of any possible connections.

Levitt responded that she had not yet spoken to “the relevant authorities” about the matter but assured that she would. “If that’s true, it’s definitely something we would consider investigating,” she added.

The White House did not provide a response to inquiries regarding the matter.

Republican Tennessee Representative Tim Burchett mentioned in an interview that a link might exist between various disappearances across the country. He emphasized the need for more attention on these cases, suggesting they seem unusual.

Missouri Congressman Eric Burleson echoed these sentiments in a recent post, linking the disappearances to a broader issue of governmental transparency surrounding secret programs and advanced technologies.
