Family Searches for Missing Father in Northern California

A Florida family is in distress as they seek answers about the disappearance of Robert Jamieson, a 45-year-old father, who vanished while visiting friends in the Northern California mountains over two weeks ago.

Last seen on April 8, Jamieson was walking away from a friend’s house in the Burnt Ranch area of the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. His car, dog, and personal belongings were left behind, according to the local sheriff’s office.

Search teams carried out thorough ground and aerial drone searches immediately after he went missing, but unfortunately, they found no trace of him.

Interestingly, authorities noted that Jamieson had expressed concerns about being tracked, and it appears he may have abandoned his cell phone. There were also indications that he might have been using drugs, particularly methamphetamine, prior to his disappearance. Furthermore, it was reported that he seemed to be disposing of some of his personal items before leaving.

His loved ones are currently offering a $3,500 reward for any information that could lead to his safe return. A GoFundMe campaign has also been set up to help with a private search team, emphasizing the family’s distressing situation, which they believe no one should ever have to endure.

Friends of Jamieson, along with a private investigator and attorney, have visited the area, pledging to uncover the truth surrounding his disappearance.

“Robert is a devoted father and a caring person who always made time for his mother,” commented Lisa Payne, his cousin, on the fundraising page. “His sudden absence has everyone extremely worried, making this even more unsettling.”

She added, “We are determined to find answers, no matter how long it takes.”

Physically, Jamieson is described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing around 185 pounds. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a tan jacket, tan pants, black sneakers, and a black baseball cap. His family continues to hope for his safe return.
