Spencer Pratt at Lakers Game Amid Mayoral Campaign

Spencer Pratt, a candidate for mayor of Los Angeles, made an appearance at Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals on Saturday night. The game, which featured the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Lakers, took place at Crypto.com Arena.

During the fourth quarter, Pratt was spotted sitting in former owner Jeannie Buss’ seat, specifically in the second row behind the court. It’s worth noting that Spencer isn’t typically seen at Lakers games, unlike many celebrities.

The former “The Hills” star is now, perhaps surprisingly, a contender in the mayoral race. His campaign gained traction following a personal loss—the 2025 Palisades fire, which claimed his home. At the game, he sported a custom black hat that read “Los Angeles Pratt,” cleverly mirroring the Lakers’ logo font. Pratt was accompanied by Linda Rambis, a close friend of Lakers owner Jeannie Buss.

Nearby, Janine Bass and her husband, comedian Jay Mohr, were sitting courtside, having relocated to seats that are usually reserved for Lakers owner Mark Walter. Behind them sat actors James Franco and Isabel Paczad, adding a touch of star power to the section. Following the game—despite the Lakers’ defeat of 131-108—the group exited the arena together.

Bass and Franco were among many well-known faces in attendance. Pratt has received endorsements from notable figures like Joe Rogan and Adam Carolla. It’s intriguing, really—given that Bass was seen leaving with Pratt, especially since she’s contributed significantly to his campaign, up to $1,800 according to public records.

Recently, Pratt’s campaign has been a hot topic. With viral ads and memorable moments, his recent attendance at such a prominent sporting event isn’t just coincidence—it’s a strategic move. After all, being at a Lakers playoff game, where influence and glamour collide, certainly offers a unique opportunity for a candidate looking to boost visibility.
