Response to Carmelo Anthony’s murder conviction is flooding social media, and Blaze TV presenter Jason Whitlock points out that the most surprising actions are taking place online, rather than through physical protests.

He remarks, “There’s a different kind of violence happening that I didn’t expect. It’s like people are rioting online and looting ideas. Some are fervently defending Carmelo Anthony and saying some pretty outlandish things.” Whitlock elaborates, suggesting that people make absurd arguments in defense of Anthony, which he believes reflects a troubling cultural mindset.

Bringing up an article by Dr. Stacey Patton, titled “Dear Jeff Metcalfe: Your son died because you failed to teach black boys that there are boundaries,” Whitlock labels it as “insane.”

He expresses frustration with the discourse, indicating that some black women are attempting to rationalize violence by making ludicrous statements. As an example, he mentions a conversation where two women discuss lies supposed to help sway a jury in Anthony’s favor.

“When jurors are asked if they can be fair, don’t respond with, ‘No, I won’t convict black people.’ If that’s your approach, you should really just stay home,” one woman says on the Gin and Juice Podcast. “People are upset because several black jurors backed out,” she continues.

Whitlock describes this narrative as morally bankrupt, accusing these women of promoting a “force of nihilism and deceit.” He sees their actions as a public display of disgrace without any hint of remorse, claiming this reflects a culture where young people fail to recognize the seriousness of their own actions.
