After making the tragic discovery, police filed an appeal and reported Guadalupe Bonds' husband, Matthew Bonds, 43, as a missing person.
During the investigation, police executed three search warrants, including a search of an adjacent home where a 17-year-old boy was arrested. Bryn Curtis, 34, and Rafael Gonzalez, 21, were also arrested on suspicion of being accomplices.

During the search, police found Matthew Bonds' body in a detached garage, with signs of trauma in his eyes, according to local reports. Matthew Bonds is Darrell's son and Billy's grandson.
“This is one of the most heinous crimes I've been involved in in my 30 years,” Reedley Police Chief Joe Garza said at a news conference Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Curtis and Gonzalez were released on bond Wednesday, but the 17-year-old suspect remained in custody without bail.
