The Republican National Committee (RNC) and New Hampshire Republican Party (NHGOP) on Tuesday filed a motion to block the Democratic National Committee's (DNC) lawsuit alleging New Hampshire's voter ID law is “voter suppression,” Breitbart said.・News exclusively learned.
The motion is the latest legal battle over election integrity. While Democrats often oppose election integrity laws, Republicans support common-sense protections to promote free and fair elections.
The Republican motion defends New Hampshire Senate Bill 418 from a DNC lawsuit backed by the Biden campaign. This bill, passed in 2022, promotes election integrity.

RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel told Breitbart News: “This is a sign that the Biden campaign and DNC are moving to eliminate voter ID in New Hampshire at a time when Americans are suffering from an unprecedented border crisis and crippling inflation. “It speaks volumes that we are doing our best.”
“Democrats are more concerned with making elections less secure than they are with resolving the crisis they caused. “I'm proud to fight in court to protect voter ID,” she said.
President Joe Biden's campaign opposes the bill. They argue that this could potentially prevent members of the Democratic base who are not eligible to vote from voting in the 2024 presidential election.
Biden campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez said the bill “is a horrifying and unacceptable subsuming of the election fraud hysteria championed by Donald Trump.” Said politiko.
“President Biden and Vice President Harris believe we should make it easier, not harder, for all American voters to participate in our democracy,” she said. “It is our responsibility to fight for the right to vote in an election that could very well decide the fate of our democracy.”
So far in the 2024 election cycle, the RNC has filed 75 lawsuits in 21 states to protect election integrity.
Election integrity is a central focus of the commission. The RNC also launched a national campaign in July focused on maximizing turnout before Election Day. The goal is to secure as many votes as possible as quickly as possible through a re-education campaign called “Bank Your Vote.” This effort is a collaborative effort of the RNC, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), and the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC).
