3-year-old girl in Georgia dies after spending 11 hours in frozen woods, mother charged

Uriha Ridge, 35, is charged with child abuse and a single count of felony murder, according to the report. Authorities responded to the Foxhall Resort on Jan. 16 after receiving a report of a woman and her two children believed to be missing in the woods.

Resort employees helped authorities find Ridge and her two children. The two children, aged 3 and 7, were found “soaked” and taken to hospital for treatment. However, the 3-year-old girl died after investigators said she was exposed to extreme weather conditions, according to the report.
