Manchester City defender Kyle Walker has apologized for cheating on his wife Annie Kilner after giving birth to his second child with model and influencer Lauryn Goodman.
in sun interviewWalker, 33, has two children with Goodman and Goodman broke up with Kilner after she sent him a Boxing Day message revealing that Walker was the father of her second child. He said, “I have to accept” my decision.
Walker and Kilner have three children, and Kilner is pregnant with their fourth child.
“What I did was terrible and I take full responsibility,” Walker told the outlet. “I made a stupid choice and a stupid decision. I can’t think or imagine what Annie is going through. I’ve tried asking her out, but there’s pain and hurt. A man who was supposed to love her, care for her, and be there for her did this.”
He continued: “I have only myself to blame. I know I have a role and responsibility, but I have made some stupid choices. But I have to admit my mistakes. Thank you to everyone. My actions caused a lot of pain to many people. As a family, this should never happen and I am sorry.”
Walker had to deal with the fallout after Goodman became pregnant for the first time following her encounter with the soccer player and influencer.
Goodman gave birth to her first child in April 2020 and later announced him as the father.
After the initial indiscretion, Kilner eventually brought Walker back and promised to have no contact with Goodman.
However, in early October 2022, Walker met Goodman in London while traveling for groin surgery.
The two started dating, and she revealed she was pregnant again “in late October, early November.”
On December 26, Goodman sent Kilner a candid message on Instagram, revealing that Walker was the father of her two children.
According to The Sun, the message that led to Kilner and Walker breaking off their relationship read, “I don’t have two baby daddies, I have one.”
“I had a conversation with Lauryn when I came back from the Club World Cup before Christmas, so I knew something was going to happen,” Walker explained. “She screamed on the phone that Annie was pregnant. I said she wasn’t. It was none of her business. I knew there would be an uproar if I told her the truth. I felt like I had to lie to her.
“Pregnancy was the straw that broke the camel’s back.”
Kilner reportedly kicked Walker out of the family home permanently and she removed her wedding ring.
In early January, Ms. Kilner said in a statement that she would be “taking some time away” from Mr. Walker.
Walker told the outlet that she was finally speaking out for her family.
“I don’t know what the future holds. But I needed to explain,” Walker said. “My family, my children, have been through enough…and I am responsible.”
He has started all 20 Premier League games he has played for Manchester City this year and has provided two assists.
