Israel Diplomats son, Avraham Gil, beaten by Florida inmate after sausage conversation

The brash, traffic-hating teenage son of an Israeli diplomat who was arrested for running over a police officer on his motorcycle was beaten in a Florida prison on Wednesday over a conversation about sausages.

Abraham Gill, 19, returned to the Miami-Dade County Jail to update his mugshot after being sentenced to house arrest for punching a Sunny Isles police lieutenant on Jan. 27.

While waiting in a prison cell, Gill had a bizarre argument over sausages with another inmate, Blake Elvis Elmas, 32, when he was attacked. According to WPLG.

“He was discussing sausage ingredients with the defendant (Elms). At some point, the defendant approached the victim and punched him multiple times,” the incident report obtained by the outlet states.

Elms was jailed on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge.

He has since been charged with a felony by a detainee, according to jail records.

Prosecutors requested that Gill be placed under house arrest, saying his driving posed a danger to the public.

He still faces felony charges of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting an officer with violence, both felonies.

The teen has had multiple run-ins with the law while riding his motorcycle around Miami, the latest of which left Lt. Sunny Isles with “disabling” injuries to his leg.

Although injured, the officer was able to remove Mr. Gill from his bike and drag him to the ground.

“A motorcycle just came and hit me. We have a subject in custody,” the injured officer said over the radio in audio obtained by Local 10.

According to the Miami New Times, Gill later told officers that he had been weaving between cars because he “didn’t like waiting behind cars.” Citing the police report.

At the first hearing, the motorcyclist’s Lawyers unsuccessfully argued that the charges should be dropped because Mr. Gill had consular privileges due to his father’s work.

The boy was deemed ineligible for immunity granted to diplomats and their families in the United States.

“Authorities are aware of this incident. The U.S. State Department said in a statement that it has confirmed that, as a dependent of an Israeli consular employee, the individual is not afforded civil or criminal immunity. Obtained by NBC Miami.

Gill’s next court appearance is March 12.
