Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have arrested three illegal aliens in connection with the death of an infant who reportedly suffered severe facial bruising.
Police reportedly responded to the residence of an undocumented immigrant in Rhode Island and found the boy unresponsive with “massive bruising to his face.”
The infant was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
On February 11, Pawtucket Police Department officers arrested three women in connection with the infant’s death.
The women, ages 32, 25, and 22, were charged with felony child endangerment resulting in death.
After arraignment, all three women posted bail and were released by Rhode Island’s Sixth District District Court.
On February 17, ICE enforcement agents arrested three female illegal immigrants in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. The suspects are Portuguese nationals living in the United States illegally and were arrested in connection with the death of a 1-year-old infant, a death that occurred in their care.
“One of the three Portuguese women was admitted as a nonimmigrant tourist in April 1998 and had been in the United States illegally for more than 25 years beyond the allowable period of her visa,” ICE said in a statement. statement. “The remaining two Portuguese nationals were admitted to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program, one in July 2016 and the other in March 2022. entered the country beyond the specified period and violated the terms of the visa exemption.
Pawtucket police also arrested a 25-year-old man who is believed to be the child’s father. He was charged with manslaughter, three counts of second-degree child abuse and child endangerment.
The child’s alleged father is being held at an adult correctional facility in Cranston, Rhode Island.
“The alleged crimes of these illegal aliens have resulted in the death of an innocent child, and those who commit crimes against children must be held accountable,” ERO Boston Field Office Director Todd M.
