RNC social media blitz targets Biden’s low approval rating, age concerns ahead of SOTU: ‘Numbers don’t lie’

Fox’s first appearance: The Republican National Committee (RNC) is highlighting polls showing US President Biden’s low approval ratings on key issues ahead of the upcoming State of the Union address.

Amid Wednesday’s social media storm, First shared on Fox News Digitalthe Republican Committee released a video compiling a report showing that most voters disapprove of Biden’s handling of both the presidency and issues such as the economy, inflation and foreign policy.

RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said that given recent polling and the current state of the country under the Biden administration, “this will be his last State of the Union address.”

“The numbers don’t lie, and Americans know that the union status quo is weakened because of Joe Biden,” McDaniel said in a statement shared with Fox News Digital.

“Biden and the Democratic Party are engaged in behind-the-scenes discussions on the important issues Americans care about most, from the economy to crime, from open borders to protecting our country’s standing on the world stage,” McDaniel said. continued. “Voters don’t want Mr. Biden to ‘finish the job,’ which is why this will be Mr. Biden’s last State of the Union address.”

FOX News Poll: Majority Says Biden Has Mostly Failed on Important Issues

The Biden campaign took aim at a recent New York Times/Siena College poll that showed Trump leading Biden, saying, “Polls continue to deviate from how Americans vote. “We consistently overestimate Donald Trump while underestimating President Biden.”

“Trump and his party are weak, cash-strapped and deeply divided,” Biden-Harris 2024 campaign communications director Michael Tyler recently said. “Our campaign is ignoring the noise and running a strong campaign to win just like we did in 2020.”

The RNC also pointed to polling showing growing concerns about Biden’s age and noted growing concerns about the president’s physical fitness.

A recent ABC/Ipsos poll found that about 86% of American adults believe Biden lacks the “mental acuity” to serve as president.

Another recent Quinnipiac University poll confirms these concerns, with 67% of likely voters saying Biden, 81, is too old and physically incapable of serving another four years as president. He reports that he believes

The blitz came just one day before Biden was scheduled to deliver his annual SOTU address to Congress.
