The St. Louis teen who was brutally attacked in a viral video was reportedly breathing on his own and in stable condition as of Friday.

Kaylee, 16, was assaulted on March 8 on a sidewalk near Hazelwood East High School in Spanish Lake, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis, where she was repeatedly punched in the head, leaving her with a skull fracture and a life-threatening injury. He suffered brain swelling and bleeding.

“We are happy to share that Kaylee is breathing on her own and remains in stable condition. And the best news so far is that we have moved her out of the ICU. We are truly blessed by all the support and prayers from all of you. That means a lot to us! ” said an update posted on her GoFundMe page.

According to Fox 2, the family’s attorney, Brian Kemmerer, initially said Caylee did not regain consciousness for about a week after the fight.

The next day, a 15-year-old girl was arrested by police in connection with the fight and booked into St. Louis County Family Court on suspicion of assault.
