Donald Trump Leads Biden Among Swing State Voters Under Age 35

Among voters ages 18 to 34, former President Donald Trump lead He cheated Joe Biden 47 to 40 percent in battleground states.

Biden won 61% of that group, according to 2020 exit polls.

Back in 2020, when Gallup asked if the economy was their biggest concern, just 11% of 18- to 29-year-olds said yes, and 18% of 30- to 49-year-olds said yes. Keep in mind this was during the coronavirus pandemic.

Today, those same numbers are exploding. Currently, 47% of 18-29 year olds list the economy as their top concern, as do 43% of 30-49 year olds.

“That concern is reflected in the polls,” Bloomberg reported. “According to a March Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll, Mr. Trump currently leads the president 47% to 40% among voters ages 18 to 34 in battleground states.”

Bloomberg continued, “By contrast, Biden won 61% of voters under 30 last time.”

The media wants us to believe that Biden’s support for Israel is alienating young voters. I doubt it. Biden’s support for Israel is lukewarm at best. Moreover, Biden’s rival Trump is a full-throated supporter of Israel.

Economic concerns make much more sense. As Bloomberg points out, it is young people who are trying to start businesses, but it is extremely difficult to do so in America under the Biden administration. Catastrophic inflation, soaring energy prices, housing shortages, high mortgage rates, millions of undocumented immigrants fighting for jobs and falling wages. Illegal immigrants also compete for housing, energy, and goods, driving up costs.

The pandemic disrupted the economy just as young voters were entering adulthood, with business lockdowns putting their job prospects at risk and soaring rents complicating housing options.

“In a direct economic way, the coronavirus itself has had a more severe impact,” said Kay Kawashima Ginsburg, Newhouse director of the Center for Information Research on Civic Learning and Engagement at Tufts University. . “Whether it’s gas, housing, rent, medical bills, they have a very hard time affordably buying those things because they don’t have enough saved wealth.”

The pandemic did not disrupt the economy, at least not permanently. By the time Biden took office, our economy was roaring back to life. What changed was Biden’s crazy spending, which led to inflation. Then there’s Biden’s war on cheap energy, which raises gasoline prices and the cost of goods that require energy to produce or transport (that’s pretty much everything), and Biden has millions of uninspected The country opened its borders to thousands of illegal immigrants. He will be in direct competition with young people for the same entry-level jobs and affordable housing.

Between October 2020 and January 2024, rents rose by 18% and house prices rose by 21%.

Well, this is what happens when you import millions of illegally imported goods, cut domestic energy production, and let environmental concerns dictate your policies when it comes to new housing.

Another thing that helps young people is the obligation to teach children everyday economics, such as how interest rates work, how to balance a checkbook, and why it’s foolish to go to university if you can’t train your brain. If only there was a high school program for education. A surgeon, and how to avoid the pitfalls of credit card debt, a second mortgage, and going to Starbucks every morning.

But if useless public schools taught kids how to manage money, they might produce better, more well-rounded, capable adults. No one on the left wants that.
