Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will be fired later this month by lawyers for his social media company’s co-founders as part of a dispute over ownership of Trump Media & Technology Group, which went public last week. It’s planned.
According to a notice filed by the co-founders with the Delaware Court of Chancery suing Trump Media, a deposition is scheduled for April 15th at 10:00 a.m. Eastern time in New York. It is also the scheduled start date of his first criminal trial.

Depositions are often rescheduled.
A Trump campaign spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.

The deposition notice did not specify what questions would be asked, and the co-founders’ attorney, Christopher Clark, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Trump Media, which owns the messaging platform Truth Social, was sued in February by former contestants on President Trump’s reality show, The Apprentice, Andy Litinsky and Wes Moss. The companies announced that they have pledged 8.6% of Trump Media’s pre-merger stock to help launch the company in 2021.

The co-founders accused Trump Media of refusing to acquire their stake through a partnership with United Atlantic Ventures, diluting their stake or preventing them from selling it.

Trump Media filed suit against Mr. Lichinsky and Mr. Moss in Florida on March 24, seeking to be stripped of the stock they lost due to mismanagement.
Delaware Judge Sam Glasscock said this week that he plans to hold a hearing to resolve the dispute by the end of April.

Trump owned 90% of the social media company before merging it with a blank check company that took it public last month. He owns the majority of the combined company.

Since the merger, the company’s stock price has soared, despite its weak underlying financials, due to speculators betting on the company’s ties to its former president.
In midday trading Thursday, Trump Media fell 4.2% to $46.70, valuing the company at more than $6 billion.
