A Florida man has been arrested on suspicion of intoxicatedly taunting a woman with Down syndrome and provoking a fight at a bar at Disney World, according to an arrest affidavit from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
In an affidavit obtained by Fox News Digital, officers say 61-year-old Brent George was arrested on Jan. 25 after an argument at the Bellevue Lounge bar inside Disney’s Boardwalk Inn. He said he was arrested and charged with four crimes.
Shortly after 9 p.m. on January 25, 2024, officers responded to a bar in response to a physical altercation, which was later determined to be an assault involving four victims.
Officers who arrived at the scene said George was intoxicated and had several cuts to his face, which he claimed were caused by being hit by a glass cup.

George told police he was at the Bellevue Lounge, a small bar area at the Boardwalk Resort, with his wife and two family friends, and claimed he drank three shots of bourbon and a beer at the bar. .
The family was sitting at a nearby table when George approached and began taunting the couple’s daughter, who has Down syndrome and is in a wheelchair, according to the complaint.
The girl’s mother then confronted George, who allegedly stood up and shoved her twice, asking if he was making fun of her daughter. Her complaint alleges that she slapped another customer at a table in the face when the other customer tried to intervene.
The husband of the woman who was slapped also got involved, and George allegedly punched him in the neck. According to her complaint, George’s husband then punched her in the head.

George told officers he was drunk and didn’t remember the specifics. He also said he was “having a good time with them and then they attacked me.”
One witness claimed to have seen a person throw a glass cup at George and to have heard someone say, “I want to kill him.” However, officers determined that no broken glass was found at the scene, and it is believed no glasses were used in the incident.
Deputies say an anonymous bystander grabbed George and took him from the scene.
George was evaluated by medical staff for injuries caused by the beating and was safely transported to the Orange County Jail.

George pleaded not guilty to all four battery charges in February, but the March 13 hearing was adjourned, according to court records.
