Iowa State defeated UW 71-69 in a controversial ending, and the game remained the talk of the sports world all weekend. On the Huskies’ final possession, big Aliyah Edwards was called for a moving screen, effectively ending the game. There were immediate suspicions that the game was rigged for Iowa State, but closer examination of the play proved it was the right call. In fact, the referee should be praised for making such a difficult decision in that situation.
