A New York state appeals court judge on Tuesday authorized the entire Appellate Division, First Division, to consider relaxing a blanket gag order against former President Donald Trump.
An appeals court may reportedly decide to postpone the criminal trial while it considers an appeal against President Trump’s gag order.
President Trump on Monday filed a lawsuit against New York Supreme Court Judge Juan Machan in the Court of Appeals, challenging the judge’s sweeping gag order. Marchan, who presides over the New York criminal case, imposed the gag order after news surfaced about Marchan’s relationship with conspiracy theorist Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.).
