Caitlin Clark has been one of the biggest faces in women’s sports since her time at the University of Iowa, while watching millions of people watch her at once in the NCAA Tournament finals.
But the projected No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft admits that her special guest appearance on Saturday Night Live was more intimidating than anything she’s ever done on the court. I have no choice.
“I’m getting ready for ‘Saturday Night Live,’ but it’s not even close yet,” Clark told the Today Show. “My heart was pounding, but I was fine.

“It was such a pleasure to be a surprise guest. It’s a bucket list item that a lot of people don’t get to experience.”
Clark attracted attention when he appeared as a surprise guest on the show’s “Weekend Update” segment with Michael Che.
During the show, Clark told Choi that he had written a joke and asked if he could read it for everyone to hear.

She ripped his Netflix special and urged him to make it more interesting.
“Caitlin Clark broke the single-season three-point shooting record this year. I’m giving three points to Michael Che. 1 – Bee, 2 – Fanier, 3 – Dumba.”
Clark also teased Che, saying, “Michael, you often joke about women’s sports, right?”

Clark announced he would enter the WNBA Draft after the regular season with the Hawkeyes, who won the Big Ten Conference championship while earning the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Clark’s last performance resulted in a return appearance in the title game, but once again Iowa fell short of winning its first school title. Instead, the South Carolina Gamecocks, led by coach Staley, won all of the games to end the undefeated season.
Clark is currently preparing to begin his WNBA career, and many believe he will start his WNBA career with the Indiana Fever, who own the No. 1 overall pick.
Her star status is already astronomical, but the all-time NCAA leading scorer in men’s and women’s basketball doesn’t seem to be nervous about anything on the court.
