Authorities in the border state of Chihuahua have said the recent killings of eight men are linked to an organized crime turf war over human smuggling routes. Police found the body dumped on the side of the highway.
This week, Chihuahua state Attorney General Cesar Jauregui told local journalists that the early stages of the investigation indicated that the victims had been kidnapped days earlier and that two of them had been held for up to 17 days before their gruesome murder. did.

As reported by Breitbart Texas, authorities on Sunday found eight bodies on the side of the road along a highway connecting Chihuahua City with the border city of Juarez. All the victims had signs of torture. Further down the road, authorities found an torched vehicle believed to have been used to transport the bodies.
Since then, Jauregui said he was able to identify some of the victims and learned that some were from Sinaloa state and some from nearby local communities.
Yauregui claimed that two of the victims were from Sinaloa state and had previously been reported abducted. according to El Diario de Juarez, Relatives of one of the kidnap victims paid the kidnapper about $15,000 for his release.
The murders come as violence levels continue to rise in Mexico, despite the federal government’s many false claims about declining crime rates.
