President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is reportedly launching a pilot program to provide identification cards to immigrants released into the United States who are in deportation proceedings.
FOX News Digital’s Adam Shaw report DHS officials say the agency will begin implementing the Secure Docket Card program, which will provide photo identification to the approximately 10,000 migrants released across the U.S.-Mexico border into the interior of the United States this summer. announced that it had confirmed that it would.

“[Immigration and Customs Enforcement] As confirmed by Fox News Digital this week, the pilot program will begin this summer and approximately 10,000 cards will be distributed, Shaw reported. “The cards are expected to be issued in three or four locations in the U.S., although officials stressed that the plan is ‘pre-determined’ and could still change.”
A DHS spokesperson told the show that the “details” of photo IDs are “in development,” but stressed that they are “not an official form of federal identification.”
Last December, after remaining silent about the pilot program, ICE officials acknowledged its development in a year-end report.

Republicans on the House Oversight Committee began sounding the alarm as far back as August 2022, when Biden’s Department of Homeland Security first began developing the testing program.

Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has intercepted about 6.2 million migrants through an extensive catch-and-release network at the southern border over about three years, according to a January Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report. has been accepted into American society.
The CBO report suggested that Biden’s DHS is releasing nearly 200,000 migrants into the interior of the United States each month.
