NYC man opens fire in Harlem subway station

A 30-year-old Bronx man who opened fire at a Harlem subway station Saturday night has been charged with attempted murder.

Around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, NYPD officers responded to a 911 call after a man fired a gun inside the 2nd and 3rd Precincts at 135th Street and Lenox Avenue in Harlem.

Police said the suspect, identified as Miguel Urena, 30, opened fire on the mezzanine.

He was found in a subway station with a gun in his hand, a police officer told the Post.

Urena was arrested and charged with attempted murder, weapons possession, and reckless endangerment.

It was not immediately clear who he fired at or what sparked the shooting.
