Biden Admin Offers Intel on Hamas Leaders If Israel Quits Rafah Attack

The Biden administration has reportedly offered Israel information on the whereabouts of Hamas leaders in underground tunnels in Gaza if it ceases continued attacks on Hamas’ last stronghold in the Gaza town of Rafah. It is reported that it was given to Israel.

of washington post report Saturday: “The Biden administration is working urgently to prevent a full-scale Israeli invasion of Rafah, and if Israel resists, the Israeli military will locate Hamas leaders and locate the organization. The hidden tunnel provides Israel with valuable assistance, including sensitive information to assist it,” said four people familiar with the U.S. proposal. ”

The proposal left observers wondering why the Biden administration did not simply provide Israel with the information it needed to find the Hamas leader, especially with five Americans still being held hostage. This confused them.

The Biden administration has insisted since February that Israel should not attack Hamas in Rafah, suggesting there are other ways to remove Hamas leaders from Gaza. The administration has never said what those methods are.

Mr. Biden recently suspended certain weapons shipments to Israel, including heavy bombs and artillery, in a show of opposition to Israeli operations in Rafah. Israel considers this operation necessary to win the war and prevent Hamas from returning to his government in Gaza.

Supporters of Israel in the United States also argue that if Hamas continues to exist, terrorist groups will become more active around the world and will intensify attacks on the United States and other countries.
