Wow! Check out Doug finding a job!
Doug Gottlieb is a very well-known sports commentator, so as you may know, he has decided to change his career. Green Bay men’s basketball has hired him as its next head coach, according to an announcement from Tuesday’s program.
Last spring, Gottlieb was actually one of the last candidates for Green Bay’s vacant position, but ultimately decided on Sundance Wicks.Following the Phoenix 18-14 Wicks left the team for the 2023-24 season to take the head coaching position at the University of Wyoming. Green Bay athletic director Josh Moon took immediate action to replace Wicks with Gottlieb. The school has scheduled an admissions press conference for Wednesday.
“It is an immeasurable honor to be named the 10th men’s basketball coach in UWGB history,” Gottlieb said in an official statement. “All kids have dreams growing up. Some want to be firefighters, some want to be president. I always wanted to be a head basketball coach at the Division I level.”

Congratulations to Doug Gottlieb!
To be honest, I’m not a big fan, but I remember playing my PlayStation while the radio was on as a kid and listening to a lot of his shows. He was one of my (soundtracks?) for me to act like a professional baseball player or something while hitting sticks.
So it’s pretty cool to see him take the head coaching job in college basketball.
