Former President Trump said he wants President Biden to take a drug test before the first debate.
President Trump: “By the way, I’m also going to require a drug test.” Said At the Minnesota Republican Lincoln-Reagan Dinner on Friday. “I’m like, no, I really am. I don’t want him to come like the State of the Union, he was high as a kite.”
Trump previously said in a radio interview that Biden not only “lifted his whole body up” at the beginning of his State of the Union address, but also “floated higher than a kite.”
The former president and Biden quickly agreed Wednesday to hold two presidential debates on CNN and ABC in June and September. There is just over a month left until Mr. Biden and Mr. Trump take part in their first debate.
“They have to be fair, I think they have to be fair too, and if they’re not, you have to deal with it. Right? You have to deal with it. No,” President Trump said at the dinner.
Rep. Greg Murphy, R-N.C., suggested Thursday that Biden “must have been jacked” during his State of the Union address in March.
“I was at the State of the Union and I’m sure Joe Biden was excited about something that day. We have a little bit of a good knowledge of what happened,” Murphy said. “He can’t stand, he can’t stand under the lights that long, and I don’t think he can hold concepts in his brain that long.”
The Hill has been in contact with the Biden campaign.
