Trump team plans to sue ‘The Apprentice’ film makers, calls movie ‘pure fiction’

Former President Trump’s team is preparing to file a lawsuit against the makers of a biopic about his career in the 1980s.

President Trump’s press secretary has called Ali Abbasi’s 2024 film The Apprentice, starring Sebastian Stan, “garbage” and “pure fiction.”

Trump campaign communications director Stephen Chan told Fox News Digital: “We are filing a lawsuit to address the blatantly false claims made by these fake filmmakers. This scum has long been debunked. “It’s pure fiction that sensationalizes the lies that have been exposed.”

“Like the illegal Biden trial, this is election interference by Hollywood elites. They believe that nothing they’ve done has worked, so President Trump will take back the White House and choose a candidate of their own choice.” “I know how to break it,” Chan said.

The film focuses on President Trump’s relationship with Roy Cohn, a McCarthy-era government lawyer who led investigations into suspected communists, and how Cohn describes President Trump’s role in the difficult world of New York City business and politics. He is portrayed as a leader.

It contains many sordid and disturbing scenes involving Trump, Ivana Trump, and other real-life people.

“This film is an absolute slander and should never see the light of day. It doesn’t even deserve to be in the direct-to-DVD section of the bargain aisle of a soon-to-be-closing discount cinema store. It belongs in the bin,” Chang told Fox News Digital.

“Everyone talks about the fact that he’s suing a lot of people, but they don’t talk about his win rate, right?” Abbasi told reporters at the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday.

Abbasi also claimed that he would be willing to privately screen the film for former President Trump if he was open to it.

“If someone in the Trump campaign was interested, I would offer to meet him wherever he wanted, talk about the background of the film, hold a screening, and then have a chat afterwards,” Abbasi said. Ta.
