MAGA Republicans and allies of former President Donald Trump slammed the jury verdict in his New York business records trial on Thursday that found Trump guilty on all 34 charges of falsifying business records.

Senators J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) and Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), both rumored to be Trump’s running mate, also slammed the verdict and trial.
This decision is an affront to the rule of law and our Constitution.
The Democrats, with the help of Soros-funded prosecutors and Biden-donor judges, trumped up felony charges to “get Trump down” and manipulated the entire case to achieve this result.

“This decision is an affront to the rule of law and our Constitution,” X’s post read.
“Democrats, with the help of Soros-funded prosecutors and Biden-funded judges, trumped up felony charges to ‘get Trump’ and manipulated the entire case to achieve this outcome,” he added.
“This is not justice, this is election interference,” Vance said.
In a post on X, Rubio called the ruling “a travesty that makes a mockery of the American justice system.”

North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum (Republican), who is rumored to be a third vice presidential candidate, met with President Trump in New York City today.

Trump-backed, firebrand Senate candidates were also quick to denounce “election interference.”
Arizona Republican Senate candidate Kali Lake called the entire trial leading up to the verdict a “shameful political ploy.”

“We have witnessed the most egregious example of election interference and blatant mockery of the rule of law in the 246-year history of our Republic,” she wrote, adding:
This is a non-crime that a Soros-backed district attorney invented out of thin air and presented before a highly conflicted Democratic judge in order to jail a political opponent of Joe Biden.
The main witness in the case was a convicted perjurer whose courtroom testimony was one of the most shameful blunders ever seen in a courtroom.
Ohio Republican Senate candidate Bernie Moreno also slammed the case and the legitimacy of the sentence, calling it a “dark day for American democracy.”
