House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) sharply criticized the Manhattan verdict after it was reported that the jury in former President Donald Trump’s business records trial had returned a guilty verdict for Trump on all 34 charges.
“The verdict is a travesty of justice,” Jordan said in a statement. “The Manhattan camouflage trial shows what happens when partisan prosecutors, before a biased judge, weaponize the justice system with an unfair process designed to distract President Trump from his campaign and divert attention from President Biden’s failed, radical policies.”
“The American people see through the Democrats’ loafer tactics and know that President Trump will be acquitted on appeal.”
The sentence is a travesty of justice.

His explanation of the committee’s X was even more direct, making a simple one-word statement:
“It’s cheating.”
That’s cheating.

Jordan and other Trump allies have attacked the multiple lawsuits filed against Trump, calling them “loafer” lawsuits that have sidelined him from the campaign and cost him millions in legal fees.
Judge Juan Marchand, whose daughter is suing Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign for millions of dollars, set the ruling for 10 a.m. ET on July 11, just four days before the Republican National Convention.
Jordan and his committee continue to lead investigations into the business dealings of President Joe Biden and his family, which the Biden Justice Department has largely ignored.
