Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) drew backlash on social media after he shared a photo of himself grilling burgers and pointed out that he was putting cheese on a raw burger.
In a now-deleted post by X, Schumer wrote: share A photo of himself cooking burgers and hot dogs for his “daughter and her wife” in their newly purchased home on Father’s Day.
“We’ve always lived in apartments, but my daughter and her wife just bought a house with a backyard and for the first time they’re having barbecue, grilling hot dogs and hamburgers,” Schumer said. I have written His post read, “Father’s Day Heaven.”

Schumer’s post drew a variety of reactions from people who zoomed in to point out that one of the cheese-topped burger patties looked raw.

Matt Walsh is The Matt Walsh Show The podcast host noted that “one of the burners” was on and “the burger was still raw.”

This is not the first time a politician has been photographed grilling himself on a day off, only to end up being grilled himself.
July 2021, former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe (Democrat) share A video of him grilling raw burgers to celebrate the Fourth of July. Several people commented: pointed It grill It wasn’t on.
