Former Maryland Governor and U.S. Senate candidate Larry Hogan (R-Md.) said he “did not ask” for an endorsement from former President Donald Trump and is “not interested in it.”
when Asked If Hogan “publicly” declines to endorse Trump, he said the endorsement is “not something his campaign is pushing,” according to WTOP News. Hogan’s comments come a week after Trump said in a Fox News interview that he hopes Hogan wins the Senate race.
“I just said that’s not what I want,” Hogan explained. “And I don’t want that. And I’m not interested in that. It’s not something we’re going to push. In a state that Donald Trump lost by 33 points, we’re not going to attract a lot of voters to our cause. So I don’t think there’s any interest in embracing it.”
