‘No One Gives Me Advice During Games’

Caitlin Clark is open to advice from her veteran teammates. The problem is, no one is giving her any.

After Clark and the Fever lost their second straight game, 89-77, to Seattle on Thursday night, Clark was asked what the best advice he’d received from a teammate was.

Her answer was frank.

“Nobody gives you advice during the game,” Clark says. “I wish they did.”

This could be interpreted as a negative. After all, what rookie wouldn’t want advice from a veteran? But looking at the playing ability of her veteran teammates…

Maybe her teammates shouldn’t say anything to her.

Afterwards, oddly enough, Clark was asked about her achievements, even though she hasn’t played a full season.

“Oh man, I mean, we’re 19 games in and you never know,” Clark said. “I think we just have to keep learning and keep enjoying the game,” she added. “Obviously, we’re a really young team, so just keep getting better every day…taking it game by game and helping this organization get back to the playoffs is our main goal this year.”

The Fever need to stop their losing streak if they want to make the playoffs. Indiana is 7-12 and sits one spot outside of the eight playoff teams. The Fever can get one step closer to that goal with a win against the Mercury on Sunday afternoon.
