Chevrolet has officially unveiled the new Corvette ZR1, which boasts an impressive amount of horsepower.
The General Motors-owned brand announced Thursday that the 2025 Corvette ZR1 sports car will produce an astounding 1,064 horsepower.
That’s thanks to a 5.5-liter “twin-turbocharged, DOHC, flat-plane crank V8 engine” that Chevrolet describes as “the most powerful V8 ever produced by an American automaker. The brand also says the car has “the most power ever produced in a Corvette from the factory.”
Chevrolet hasn’t officially announced pricing, but Car and Driver estimates that MSRP will start at $180,000.

The brand will begin producing the sports car next year at General Motors’ Bowling Green Assembly Plant, where the company also builds the Corvette Stingray, Z06 and E-Ray.
“The Corvette ZR1 pushes the envelope with raw power and cutting-edge innovation,” said Chevrolet’s Scott Bell. “From the Stingray to the Z06 to the E-Ray to the ZR1, the Corvette family continues to evolve with each new model, challenging the world’s best.”
