Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow did not participate, despite rumors on social media that he and other NFL quarterbacks were on a Zoom call Monday night in support of Vice President Kamala Harris.
The Bengals released a statement to multiple media outlets after supporters of Harris, who was presumed to be the Democratic presidential nominee after President Biden dropped out of the election, began spreading false information on social media platforms that Burrow had participated in a conference call and endorsed Harris’ presidential campaign.
Several stars joined the call, dubbed “White Men Supporting Harris,” but Barrow was not among them.

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones and Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff were also rumored to have been on the conference call, but that was also false.
The allegations on social media generated millions of views and sports websites picked it up as news.

Burrow’s post from “Kamala’s Wins,” an X-account that has been accused of misinformation in the past, was viewed more than 3.5 million times after claiming that the signal caller was on the line.
Burrow is not endorsing either candidate in this year’s presidential election, but was spotted posing with former President Trump earlier this year and with San Francisco 49ers star Nick Bosa at UFC 299 in March.
The three-and-a-half-hour “White Guys for Harris” call featured many actors, including Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Mark Hamill, Josh Gad and Jeff Bridges, who voiced their support for Harris.

Organizers said the call, which was attended by more than 180,000 people, raised about $4 million for the Harris campaign.
The only real news Burrow shared recently was his new look heading into Bengals training camp, where he showed up with a shaved head and bleached blonde hair to start the new season.
Heading into his fifth NFL season, he told reporters he was “tired of” the new look.
