Brazilian migrant accused of multiple Massachusetts sex crimes arrested: ICE

An illegal Brazilian immigrant was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Massachusetts on suspicion of a series of sex crimes.

Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Announced Jackson Bento Pinheiro was arrested in Wakefield, Massachusetts after entering the United States illegally.

Authorities said the 35-year-old man was charged in Massachusetts with rape, indecent assault and domestic assault.

A law enforcement source confirmed to Fox News that a local bail commissioner allowed him to be released on bail despite an outstanding warrant for his arrest for domestic violence.

ICE arrived on the scene and took him into custody, sources said.

The immigrant’s run-in with the law began in July 2021 when he was apprehended at the border near San Ysidro, California.

The next day, Border Patrol notified Bent to appear before a Department of Justice immigration judge and then released him back onto the street.

Bent reported to ERO Boston on Aug. 22, 2021, and was removed from the Alternatives to Detention (ATD) program, which allows immigrants to remain in the United States. Their immigration process.
