PBS Broadcaster Forced To Apologize After Falsely Claiming Trump Urged Netanyahu To Abandon Hostage Deal

“PBS NewsHour” host Judy Woodruff apologized Wednesday after reporting certain stories about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former President Donald Trump, which both strongly denied.

In a stiff apology on Twitter (X), Woodruff suggested that Trump, in order to advance his own political campaign, falsely claimed he had advised Netanyahu to delay an agreement between Israel and Hamas on Israeli hostages until after the 2024 presidential election.

“This was a mistake and we apologize,” Woodruff said.

“Judy Woodruff needs to retract her statement, if she has any journalistic integrity at all, that Donald Trump is actively working with Bibi Netanyahu to delay or derail the hostage deal for political reasons,” Waltz said. “This is false and absurd, and by the way, Mr. Netanyahu, and please take my word for it or his campaign, his office categorically denies it.”
