Investigative reporter Steve Baker went undercover at the Democratic National Committee in Chicago, and what he found was shocking.
“You can’t uncover a James O’Keefe or Project Veritas type moment, because that doesn’t happen through just basic political conversation,” Baker told “Blaze News Tonight’s” Jill Savage and Matthew Peterson.
“The reason is that the speakers at the Democratic National Convention are already saying some of the most extreme things that any outside voice has said,” he continued, noting that they have spoken to “quite a few key people within the Democratic Party.”
“We’re not going to get any shocking, surprising statements, because what would be shocking from them? Their statements are as extreme as you can imagine,” he added.
Baker’s overall impression of the people he met at the Democratic National Convention was that they were “a party of emotions.”
“They’re driven by images, not numbers. Facts and calculations are not the yardstick for how they handle their politics. It’s a party based on emotion,” Baker explains. “The way they look, the way they feel, who they choose to sleep with, the way they dress, what gender they are, it’s all based on emotion.”
“Of course,” he continues, “it seems clear that the absolute sacrament of abortion is the prime mover of the Democratic Party apparatus.”
Baker actually looked at public opinion of the party’s presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, and her running mate, Tim Walz, and what he found was a bit worrying.
About 100 people gathered next to Kamala in a Chicago hotel bar while watching his speech at the Democratic National Convention.
“People were cheering in the bar area. Even the waiters were stopping to praise her. And at the end of the speech, there were cheers. It was a huge cheer,” Baker said. “And of course, the people I spoke to last night, many of whom said they’ve been to the DNC or the DNC several times, said it was the best speech they’d ever seen.”
However, most of her supporters are not interested in her policy proposals and support her for entirely different reasons.
“This is a history moment for them, because they’re excited that a woman of color is finally president of the country. It doesn’t matter what the issues are. It’s more about the look, the feeling and the packaging than the actual issues,” Baker said.
