Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard are set to join former President Donald Trump's transition team as honorary co-chairs if he wins the 2024 presidential election.
The transition team will ensure the orderly and peaceful transfer of power and carry out post-election responsibilities, including vetting, selecting and appointing presidential personnel.
“We look forward to adding their powerful voices to the team as we work to restore American greatness,” said Brian Hughes, a senior adviser to the Trump campaign. said of The New York Times on tuesday.
The appointments of Kennedy and Gabbard, both former Democrats, underscore Trump's policy of uniting America in the face of a distrustful media and political pundits.
Gabbard endorsed Trump on Monday, while Kennedy endorsed the former president on Friday. “I have been a Democrat for over 20 years. Today I endorse Donald Trump for President,” Gabbard wrote on X.

“These are the primary reasons why I have decided to leave the Democratic Party, run as an independent, and now endorse President Trump,” Kennedy said Friday.
“This decision is an anguish for me because it will be difficult for my wife, children and friends,” Kennedy added, “but I am certain this is the right thing to do, and that certainty gives me peace in the midst of the storm.”
