Keisha Lance Bottoms, a senior adviser to Harris-Waltz, said on “CNN Newsroom” Tuesday that voters don't care whether Vice President Kamala Harris gives interviews.
“Donald Trump is afraid of Kamala Harris, but Kamala Harris is used to dealing with bullies, whether it's dealing with defendants in court as a prosecutor or as a senator. Donald Trump should be very afraid to debate her,” said Lance Bottoms.
“Keisha — I mean, Kamala Harris — she's doing press conferences, she's doing interviews. So I think part of this is trying to stay on message, that's right. And Trump had a problem with that,” Acosta said.
Lance Bottoms said, “I think this is just an insider conversation. Of course media people would love to see her do interviews and insiders are saying she's going to do them, but not one of the hundreds of people I've spoken to about the campaign has said they care about whether she does interviews or not. I believe it's just a matter of time before that happens. The Kamala Harris we saw at the convention last week was someone who was very commanding, who is ready to lead and has been a leader.”
