Last week, investigative journalist and Blaze Media correspondent Steve Baker infiltrated the Democratic National Convention in Chicago to get an insider's look at mysteries like whether the “joy” over Kamala is real. Are the left's policies based on actual policies or are they just Trump haters? What are they talking about behind the scenes?
Now, Baker joins Jill Savage and other panelists on “Blaze News Tonight” to share her findings.

Baker, who was traveling with an organization friendly to Blaze Media, stayed at a hotel “that was packed with politicians of all types, including delegates, congressmen, senators and governors within the Democratic Party organization.”
Many will wonder whether Baker will be recognized during the Jan. 6 trial, but with the help of hired actresses and models, he could keep a low profile and steer the conversation in a helpful direction.
“We've had a lot of conversations with a lot of pretty key people in the Democratic Party,” he told Gill and Blaze Media editor-in-chief Matthew Peterson, “but we're not going to hear any shocking statements, because nothing they say is going to be shocking, because what they say is about as extreme as you can imagine.”
“This political party is a group of people who are driven by emotions, people who are driven by images. do not have “The numbers, the facts and the math show that the absolute sacrament of abortion is the No. 1 driving force behind the Democratic Party apparatus,” he explains.
“What was the reaction of the people you actually interacted with? Were they genuinely excited about Kamala Harris?” Jill asks.
Unfortunately, the answer is yes.
Baker was watching the speech in the hotel lobby with several others, most of whom were “cheering” for Harris.
“There were people cheering in the bar area, and the waitstaff were stopping to rave about her,” Baker admits.
“They were absolutely thrilled,” Baker said of the delegates who watched Harris speak in person from the hotel lobby.
Some people said, “That was the best speech I've ever seen.”
“They're excited that finally we have a woman of color as president of the country, and it's clear they believe this is a moment in history,” Baker said. “It doesn't matter what the issues are. It seems like the look and the feeling and the packaging are more important than the actual issues themselves.”
