Former MLB Star Bashes SF After Ricky Pearsall Shooting: ‘Hell Hole’

Former MLB player Mark Mulder called San Francisco “a hellish city” following the shooting of 49ers rookie wide receiver Ricky Piersall.

Breitbart News reported over the weekend that “San Francisco 49ers rookie first-round draft pick Ricky Pearsall was reportedly shot during an attempted robbery in downtown San Francisco on Saturday. Later reports said Pearsall was in stable condition.

“49ers player Ricky Pearsall was shot during an attempted robbery in Union Square,” NBC Bay Area reporter Gia Van wrote on X. “According to Detective Superintendent Peskin's office, a suspect is in custody and Ricky is in stable condition. His office is in contact with Central Command. More details to come.”

Police said Pearsall was shot in the chest after struggling with the suspect for a gun, and that the 17-year-old was trying to steal his Rolex. Pearsall's mother later said the bullet passed through him and did not strike any vital organs.

“It really is a hellish city!” Mulder wrote to X“A mentally deranged liberal will get robbed and step on filthy things and still talk about how beautiful everything is.”

Mulder played nine years in major league baseball with the Oakland Athletics and St. Louis Cardinals. As Fox News reported, other athletes have also spoken out about the situation in San Francisco over the past year.
