‘Honored to Serve as the National Faith Chairman’ for Trump

Former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Dr. Ben Carson announced that he would be “honored to serve as national faith chair” for former President Donald Trump and his campaign.

In X's post, Carson Praised Carson praised Trump for being a “staunch supporter of the faith community,” adding that he would “be an advocate again” if elected president in November. Carson's comments were in response to Trump. announcement Carson will serve as the Trump campaign's national faith chair and will reach out to evangelicals “to advance the protection of religious freedom.”

“I am honored to serve as the national faith chair of this campaign and for my friend @realDonaldTrump,” Carson wrote. “It is essential that faith communities recognize what is at stake in this election.”

“President Trump is a strong supporter of faith communities and will continue to be so as the 47th president,” Carson added.

In a press release, Trump said Vice President Kamala Harris and the “radical left” have “waged a war on America's faith communities,” adding that Carson will “work with faith community leaders on behalf of the campaign to advance the protection of religious freedom in America.”

“Kamala Harris and the radical left have waged war on America's faith communities since taking office,” Trump said in a press release. “Her selection of Governor Tim Walz as her running mate solidifies their commitment to step up these efforts. As an unwavering believer, Ben Carson is the perfect person to work with faith community leaders on behalf of the campaign to advance protections for religious freedom and prosperity in our nation. There is no greater advocate for the faith community than me, and I look forward to working with Ben Carson to fight back against Kamala Harris' war on faith and Make America Great Again in November.”

Carson ran for president in 2016 and endorsed Trump after he dropped out of the race.

During the 2016 presidential campaign, Carson defended Trump as “the right leader for a time like this.”

After Trump was elected president in 2016, Carson joined the Trump Administration as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

As Breitbart News previously reported, while in that role, Carson was invited by Trump to lead a prayer at the beginning of Cabinet meetings.

“Separation of church and state means the church does not control the state and the state does not control the church,” Carson said in the prayer.

Carson is also openly anti-abortion, speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in 2019 where he spoke about his time as a neurosurgeon and his experience operating on premature babies, explaining that “they can feel” and “can respond”.
