Social media users argued that Vice President Kamala Harris' first solo interview this week proved she is not fit for the presidency.
Harris' interview with ABC News Philadelphia anchor Brian Taff became a hot topic on social media on Friday after she gave answers on actual economic policy that were criticized as being too long and lacking in substance.
Harris' critics on X argued that the conversation proved she was unfit to be president. “Oh my goodness, this is a complete fiasco,” digital strategist Greg Price wrote about the interview on the social media platform.

The vice president's interview drew heavy criticism online, particularly over one response in which he gave a rambling reply about his middle-class upbringing in response to a direct question about what policies he would implement to provide economic relief to Pennsylvanians.
“When we talk about lowering prices and making life more affordable for people, what are one or two specific things you have in mind when it comes to doing that?” Taff asked.
Harris responded: “First of all, I grew up middle class. My mother raised me and my sister. She worked very hard. When I was a teenager, she finally managed to save up enough money to buy our first house.”
The Democratic candidate continued, “I grew up in a community of hardworking people — construction workers, nurses, teachers — and I'm trying to explain to people who may not have had the same experiences, a lot of people will relate to this.”
At first, Harris avoided discussing policy, insisting that she comes from “neighborhoods where people are very proud of their lawns.” After talking more about her mother, Harris finally touted her proposal to give startup businesses a “$50,000 tax credit” and give new homebuyers “$25,000 down payment assistance.”
Voters gave Harris the win, but she praised Trump on policy, something that rubbed Trump the wrong way.

For some X users, the response was further evidence that Harris is unfit for public office.
Daily Wire reporter Ryan Saavedra wrote, “This interview with Kamala Harris is truly shocking. I've never seen a politician so nervous, so unprepared for the office she's running for, and so ignorant heading into an election. It's kind of scary, to be honest.”
“Usually going through a primary weeds out people who aren't ready for prime time. It's a shame, it's a shame,” culture reporter Matt Kadish said.
“Kamala Harris is being slammed tonight in her first solo television interview, but not a single Democratic account is coming to her defence,” author Tim Murtaugh argued.
The Trump War Room X account compared Harris' answers in the interview to similar responses she gave during a debate with former President Trump.
The account states, “Kamala at the economic debate: “I grew up a middle class kid…”, and three days later, Kamala at the economic debate: “I grew up a middle class kid…”, that she has no plan for America and all she can do is repeat the same rehearsed talking points.
The Harris campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.
