“The suspect arrested in connection with Sunday's shooting at Trump's golf course in Florida has been identified as Ryan Routh.” time On Monday morning, xweeted reported that the suspect is a “58-year-old man with unclear political views, a criminal record and a history of praising Iran and supporting Ukraine.”

Routh's left-wing political ideas are not only unclear but explicit, scattered all over the internet and easily searchable.
Xwitter's excellent Community Notes quickly shot down this blatant lie: Citing two media sources and FEC records, Community Notes wrote, “Routh recently voted in person in the state's March 2024 Democratic primary election, and donated to ActBlue (a political action committee that supports Democratic candidates) in 2019 and 2020.”
Additionally, Routh, 58, appeared to have a Biden-Harris bumper sticker on his car in Hawaii and used social media to Spout “Democracy is on the ballot and we cannot lose,” are the arguments of the anti-Trump left. They also claim that Trump “wants to enslave Americans.”[.]”
It is truly astonishing to watch this once respected media outlet so blatantly and unashamedly degrade itself in an effort to defeat the most politically moderate Republican presidential candidate of my lifetime, who, aside from tax cuts and Supreme Court picks, is little different from Bill Clinton.
CNN, The New York TimesABC News (!), The Washington PostNBC, MSNBC, etc. have all become sleazy, cheap prostitutes for the Democratic Party.

Whatever the outcome of this election, there is no way these media outlets will regain their self-esteem.
