Jaime Harrison made history in 2013 when he became the first African American to serve as chair of the South Carolina Democratic Party.
Just seven years later, in 2020, Harrison became chairman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC).
On today's episode of The Switch Up special election series, Harrison discussed the historic nature of this year's election and what's at stake for Black voters. He also weighed in on the first, and likely only, presidential debate between VP Harris and former President Trump, and delivered a powerful message to young voters with less than two months until Election Day.
