Democratic Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was furious that the International Federation of Trucking Associations had refused to endorse the Democratic candidate, and the union's president was quick to fire back.
The political world was shaken on Wednesday when the International Truck Drivers union, which has supported Democrats for decades, said it would not endorse any president in the November election, a decision seen as a victory for former President Donald Trump's efforts to alienate the union from the left.

Ocasio-Cortez responded to the decision in a theatrical manner, blasting the union's head, Sean O'Brien.
“I am extremely disappointed in Sean O'Brien's leadership and have become increasingly concerned since the start of the year,” she said. said To CNN's Manu Raju.
“When the Teamsters are in trouble, who's the one to call?” she asked. “When we needed to make sure the Teamsters' pensions were saved, when we needed to make sure they had a level playing field at the negotiating table with the railroads, it was Sean O'Brien who called on the Democrats for help.”
“Sean O'Brien has been boosting the Republican Party all year while supporting anti-worker, anti-choice Senate candidates,” she added via X.
In response, O'Brien fired back at Ocasio-Cortez.
“She should go to the districts that voted far-right Republicans and find out what the issues are. If there are problems and criticisms in the workplace, I will go there immediately and find out what the issues are,” he said.
When asked by CNN's Dana Bash about his intentions, he said Claimed Teamsters members in her district voted overwhelmingly to support Trump.
“So maybe she wants to focus on her own work and not mine,” he added.
