Chilling video shows a Mississippi teenage murder suspect acting disinterestedly after he allegedly shot and killed his mother, and the girl texting after the incident.
Kitchen security camera footage shown at the murder trial of Carly Gregg, now 15, showed the moments before and after her mother, Ashley Smiley, was allegedly killed on March 19. Gregg, who was 14, allegedly used a .357 Magnum pistol to kill Smiley.
The horrifying footage shows Greg hiding something behind his back and walking towards a bedroom just before three gunshots ring out.

After the murder, Gregg was seen casually returning to his kitchen and sitting in a chair, and after gunshots were heard, the family's two Labrador retrievers were seen following him back into the kitchen.
During the trial, prosecutors said Gregg texted his stepfather, Heath Smiley, after the murder, luring him to his house to ambush him.
Heath Smiley testified on the stand Tuesday that when he opened the kitchen door, “the gun went off in my face before the door was even open about three or four inches, and it all happened really fast from there.”
“The gun flashed in front of my face,” he said. “The gun fired two more times, but after the first shot, my hand was on the gun and I wrenched it away from Carly.” Police say Heath was shot in the shoulder during the encounter with Gregg.

Ms Heath said her stepdaughter was “trembling with fear” and screaming as if she had seen the devil.
“She looked terrified,” he said. “She was screaming like she was going crazy with fear, like she'd seen the devil or something.”
