The NFL claims to be working on a “non-partisan” voter outreach initiative in the run up to the 2024 election, but a look at its list of partners shows it only works with organizations that promote left-wing candidates and causes.
the NFL Poll The league's webpage describes the initiative, which launched in 2020, as a “league-wide, bipartisan effort to support and encourage social engagement among NFL players and legends, club and league employees, and fans.”
The campaign, sponsored in partnership with the left-leaning NFL Players Association, “focuses on three key elements of the election process: voter education, voter registration and voter activation,” the league added.
But The Federalist NotesThe NFL’s GOTV partners include some of the most left-leaning activist organizations currently active.
All that sounds fine until you scroll down to the partners section, where fans will see that the league is affiliated with I Am a Voter, Rock the Vote, Rise to Vote, Vet the Vote and Votolatino — groups that all claim to be “nonpartisan” but have a history of pushing mostly left-wing candidates and causes, not to mention being run, chaired or founded by leftists.
The oldest group is Let's boost the voteFounded in 1990, it has been a strong supporter of Barack Obama and his causes, especially Obamacare, and its leadership is filled with Obama activists, Democratic donors, and left-wingers.
after that Voto Latino The Action Fund: Founded in 2013, the group has close ties to left-wing “Squad” member and New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and also counts former Obama administration Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro as a senior adviser.
I am a voter Another far-left group, I Am A Voter is made up of Hollywood leftists, including the radical actress Debra Messing, who co-founded the group with fashion industry figure and leftist Mandana Dayani. I Am A Voter has never endorsed a moderate or conservative Republican candidate.
Another group the NFL is partnering with for the “non-partisan” effort is Stand up to voteis an organization that has made millions of dollars by posing as the go-to voter registration organization for much of America's professional sports.
The group's officers include far-left NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, women's rights activist Gabrielle Raymond McGehee, LeBron James' business partner Maverick Carter, Michigan's Democratic Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, Black Lives Matter advocate and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, and many other leftists.
These organizations have no conservatives or Republicans on their boards of directors and have never endorsed any Republican or conservative causes or candidates, yet the NFL continues to refer to the causes and its partners as “nonpartisan.”
