North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum (R-Fox News Sunday) said this week that if former President Donald Trump were elected, he would bring home hostages being held in Gaza.
“The argument is that President Trump has made enough of a counterargument to her on all of these issues. Do you talk about strategy with him? Is he going to focus more on the issues or does he think he needs to?” host Shannon Bream said.
Burgum said, “Well, I think we all know that and I think voters know that President Trump is going to say, on the economy, the economy was doing very well under President Trump, but under the Biden-Harris administration, interest rates, inflation, home prices, food prices, gas prices are terrible. On national security, President Trump is winning. On all of these issues that we talked about, he is literally a deterrent. If you want to see hostages come home, vote for Donald Trump, because you're going to see exactly what Jimmy Carter saw on Ronald Reagan's first day in office: hostages coming home. And that's going to happen again, because Iran knows President Trump is going to impose sanctions and do things that will put things back to the way they were when he was in office.”
